9 days in Thailand

cover-1

Thailand was the first international destination we decided to travel to as the Travelling Trio. We island hopped, explored Bangkok and, ticked off a big bucket list partying until sunrise at the Full Moon Party in Ko Pha Ngan.

One of the jewels of South East Asia, Thailand is a country of beaches, rain forests, and wildlife. This was one of the most vibrant and beautiful places I’ve ever visited. Often referred to as the “land of smiles,” there is so much to offer travelers in this beautiful and bustling country.

Thailand Day 1: Manila to Bangkok

June 12, 2019, Philippines Independence Day. We flew from Manila to Bangkok. We landed in Bangkok around 1 pm and went straight to our hotel. We were staying at Solitaire Bangkok in Sukhumvit 11. After checking in we dropped our bags and went to a Thai Restaurant near our hotel and had or first Thai Meal.

After having our late lunch here, We head back to the Hotel and rest cause we’re going to experience the Bangkok nightlife that night.

Thailand Day 2: Bangkok Temple Tour

We woke up at 7 am to start our temple tour around Bangkok. We booked a grab car to take us to The Grand Palace, our first temple stop.

Our next stop is just a walk from the Grand Palace. Wat Pho – known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. This temple is really beautiful so we took many photos for Instagram.

Thailand has majestic temples that will pull you in, and you can’t help but be drawn to the history of it all.

We ended our temple tour and decided to go to MBK Shopping  Mall. This is a huge shopping mall that has tiny stalls where u can haggle and get discounts. We bought some souvenirs here. Then we tried the KFC of Thailand. They don’t have gravy there unlike in the Philippines where you can have unlimited gravy.

After here we went back to the Hotel and Rest because we are gonna have another night partying in Bangkok cause we will join the Bodega bar crawl in Khao San Road.

The bar crawl was fun. We got to meet people from other countries and made friends. Khao San Road was also fun its a nice place to Party and have some drinks.

We finished around 3am then head back to the hotel to rest and prepare for our flight to Surat Thani early in the morning.

Thailand Day 3: Bangkok to Koh Samui

We woke up late so we were late for our flight to Surat Thani so we had to buy another set of plane tickets again.

We landed in Surat Thani around 11am then took the bus to the port where we are gonna ride the 2 hours ferry to Koh Samui, Our next Destination.

Arriving in Koh Samui we were greeted with very sunny and humid weather. It was so hot its like burning your skin. It feels hotter there than in Manila during Summer.

We rode a cab that will take us to our hotel, Nora Buri Resort in Chaweng. There we had a beautiful villa type room where we have our own pool. It was so relaxing plus a beautiful view of the Thailand ocean.

We rest here and prepared to go to Ark bar, its a bar restaurant by the beach. We had our late lunch and dinner there and spent the rest of the night there. They have fire shows and a disco party there. We went back to the hotel at around 3am.

Thailand Day 4: Koh Samui (Boat Trip to Ang thong National Marine Park)

We woke up early to attend this trip that we booked in Klook. We will visit the Ang thong National Park which is 2 hours boat from the pier in Koh Samui. This is a whole day trip and we were so excited.

Ang thong National Marine Park-  Located west of the popular island destinations of Ko Samui and Ko Pha Ngan is Ang Thong National Marine Park, or Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park, which comprises of some 42 islands, mostly uninhabited, as well as caves, lagoons and beaches which make for a popular day trip from the the aforementioned two islands.

It truly is a stunning slice of paradise, with plenty of powdery white sand beaches, and sweeping dramatic landscapes, and for anyone not from this part of the world or used to seeing any of this in the flesh, it can be properly stunning.

After the trip, we head back to the hotel and tried our pool for the first time LOL. We went swimming for some time and went around the resort to see its amenities then it started raining. It is our last night in Koh Samui we went to the Chaweng town proper and had our last dinner in Koh Samui there we had Thai food again cause we love pad thai and masaman. After dinner, we went partying again. It is never-ending partying every night :P. We went back at 3am in the morning and went swimming again in our pool before sleeping.

Thailand Day 5: Koh Samui – Ko Pha Ngan

We woke up and went to the Resort Pool the packed our things for Check Out in our Hotel. After checking out we went to the Pier to take a ferry to Ko Pha Ngan its a 30 mins ferry.

When we arrived in Ko Pha Ngan Pier we went to our hotel in Haad Rin its Rin Beach Resort. We went to Koh Panghan for the Full Moon party which is Happening Tomorrow night.

We arrived at the hotel check-in and went to our room and leave our things there then went out to eat very late Lunch. There are many restaurants near our hotel also convenience stores and souvenir shops. It is also near the Full Moon Party Beach.

After having our lunch we went back to our hotel and tried the resort pool. After that, we went back to the room and rest. We woke up around 8 pm to have our dinner and go out to party somewhere. We heard about the jungle party so went to that place. It is fun in there its like a music festival in a jungle. It was also raining at that time so it was so muddy but still fun. We enjoyed it there.

Thailand Day 6: Ko Pha Ngan – FULL MOON PARTY DAY!

It was raining outside when we woke up. Then we went to that restaurant we’ve been eating for days because it is near the hotel and we liked their food there. After eating we went to the pool and went swimming. Then after went back to the room and rest. We started preparing for the Full Moon Party around 5pm. We put neon paints on our bodies. After this, we went to the hostel bar that we went to last night and had our pre-full moon party drinks. Its a really nice place for a Pre-full moon party staff there is fun and they gave you free neon body paint. After hanging out there we went to the beach where the full moon party is happening. It was a fun night and the music there was nice. There are also some fire shows and you can do jump rope on a burning rope. We went back to the hotel early cause we were too tired. We regret it haha we should’ve stayed more… It just means we will come back again in Koh Panghan Someday.

Thailand was really fun. It’s very beautiful there especially the temples and their culture.
